My 5 Favourite Songs - November 2017

November 26, 2017 0 Comments
I can't believe another month has been and gone but that means it's almost December which means Christmas!! (even though I've been raving about it for the past month)

Most of my song choices this month have really been based on the lyrics. I find I'm able to connect to a song more, if I have experienced something similar to what the artist is singing about.

Here are 5 songs I've been loving throughout November ...

Mi Gente - J Balvin, Willy William ft Beyonce

J Balvin and Willy William originally released this song over the summer but have released another version featuring Beyonce. Any song with Beyonce on it is perfection in my book. The song is hella catchy, even though I can't understand a word they're singing apart from "FREEZE." It's such a tune to dance to and is perfect to play on any night out/ at parties.

Perfect - Ed Sheeran

Perfect by Ed Sheeran has been out for months now but it's one of my favourite songs off his album ÷. He dropped the much anticipated music video this month and omg it's the cutest thing ever. I love this song so much and it's the perfect song for a relationship (crying at being single rn) Although this song was ruined for me recently by someone close to me, I still love it and have it on repeat.

Gorgeous - Taylor Swift

Taylor swift is back with new music and it's so different to her old sound. I love all the new songs she has released so far and was torn between whether to include Gorgeous or Ready For It? in this list. I chose Gorgeous just because I really like the beat of it plus it's something I'm sure most people can relate to - liking someone you know you don't stand a chance with.

Learn To Let Go - Kesha

I am absolutely loving Kesha's new music. She's such a strong and remarkable person which definitely shines through in both Praying and Learn To Let Go. This song is all about letting go of the demons in your past and not letting it affect your future.  Everyone should take note of the lyrics in this song especially "live and learn and never forget it" as I'm sure we're all guilty, of dwelling on something that's happened in the past.

I Miss You - Clean Bandit ft Julia Michaels

The last song I have been obsessed with this month is I Miss You. Clean Bandit have teamed up with Julia Michaels to release this absolute banger. When I first heard this I wasn't sure what to make of it but it's quickly become one of my favourite songs. It's all about breaking up with an ex and missing them even though you know you shouldn't.

Friendship Breakups

November 12, 2017 0 Comments
I'd thought I'd do something different today and share some tips on how to get over a friendship break up This happened to me recently and I don't know why we're not friends anymore but I've decided to try and get over it.

Friend break ups are the worst. In my view they're worst than relationship break ups because at the end of the day at least when a relationship ends, you have your friends there to stick by you. However when you lose a close friend it can feel really isolating.

Losing a friend you're super close to is tough especially when you feel like there's no valid reason for it happening. Sometimes you really do just drift apart whereas other times there is a valid reason for the two of you falling out.

All this time I've been trying to pin point why me and my friend don't talk anymore but I just can't, and I'm not a physic so unless they tell me I'll never know. I also can't  help thinking about everything we did together throughout our years of friendship like did all those years of memories we made mean nothing to you? the gossips, the late night chats, the being there for each other, was it all meaningless?

A few years ago I would've overthought this situation so much but now as much as it pains me to say it I really couldn't care less. They want to ignore me fine so be it I'm not going to dish out second, third and fourth chances on someone who clearly doesn't think friendship is that important. I'd be lying if I said I don't miss them plus I've never understood how you can go from being super close to someone then acting like they don't exist.

Anyway here are my 5 tips for how to get over a friendship break up ....

Accept it

As hard as it may be the first thing you need to do is accept it. Accept the fact that you might never speak to this person again. Now you might be feeling pain but in a few months time you'll have forgotten all about them and be grateful for the lessons it taught you.

Distract yourself

Rather than sitting and dwelling on the situation get out there and do stuff. Make some plans with your other friends, take up a new hobby or even just treat yourself to a pamper or shopping day. Keep yourself occupied and your mind busy so that you won't have time to think about them.

Don't stalk them on social media

If you're still following them on social media it can be really tempting to just look at their profiles to see what they're up to and when they last posted. My advice to you is don't, not only can this make you feel really shitty by remembering the times you had together, it is also a waste of your time and energy. If you don't want to unfriend them maybe mute them so you don't see their posts.

Reach out

If you're missing them that much and want them back in your life try reaching out to them. If you're unsure why the friendship ended send them a message asking what's going on (although don't always expect this to work believe me I've tried) It might not mean you guys become close again like you once were but at least it's a start and shows you're the bigger person. If your friendship ended on bad terms maybe don't do this straight away, give them time to cool off and reflect on the situation.

Learn from your mistakes

It's said that people come into our lives for a certain reason and to teach us things. I'd like to think that this is one of those times. They've come into your life, made memories with you then left. Think about what this has taught you and the type of person they are. Learn from it and move on with the knowledge and wisdom you now have to not make the same mistake again.

Have any of you ever had a friendship break up?

How did you deal with it?

My 5 Favourite Songs - October 2017

October 22, 2017 0 Comments
I love listening to music and spend a good 95% of my time listening to it, so I'd thought I'd start a new monthly feature on my blog. Each month I will write about 5 songs I have been loving.

Here are 5 songs I haven't stopped listening to throughout October .....

Too Much To Ask - Niall Horan

Even though I was never a massive fan of 1D Niall was always my favourite, so when he started releasing solo music I freaked out a little bit. I love the style of music Niall creates, it's so relaxed and chilled and is perfect to listen to on a lazy afternoon or when driving in the car. I've had Too Much To Ask pretty much on a constant loop since the first day I heard it, and I'm lucky enough to be seeing Niall live next March. I may just cry when he performs this song.

Havana - Camila Cabello ft Young Thug

Havana by Camila is one of the most catchiest songs out at the moment. I should dislike it because it's constantly played on the radio at work, but I just can't help singing along to it. I love how upbeat it is and it gives off serious Latin vibes.

Dusk Till Dawn - Zayn ft Sia

When I first heard Dusk Till Dawn by Zayn and Sia I wasn't a massive fan, however it kept getting played on music channels and it started to grow on me. I now find myself belting out the chorus whenever I hear it. I think this would make a cute relationship song as the lyrics mention always being there for the other person no matter what.

Too Good At Goodbyes - Sam Smith

You have no idea how happy I am that Sam Smith is back with new music. Sam Smith is one of the very few artists who manages to make you feel his emotions in every song he releases. He does this again with Too Good At Goodbyes which I can fully relate to, as I'm sure many others can as well. I particularly love the lyrics "Baby we don't stand a chance, it's sad but it's true."

Lonely Together - Avicii ft Rita Ora

When I found out that Avicii had teamed up with Rita Ora to make a song I got so excited. I love them both so much and Avicii slays every track he works on. I started listening to this track more after Rita performed it on Strictly Come Dancing and fell it love with it. It's the perfect song to get you ready for a night out and to even bust a move to in the club. Great job Avicii.

SugarBearHair Vitamins Review

October 15, 2017 0 Comments

I'm sure most people are aware of SugarBearHair, it's hard not to be when it seems like every celebrity is endorsing them on Instagram or Facebook.

When I first saw them I thought "vitamins that make your hair grow don't be silly" and totally discounted them until a few months ago. My hair has always been thin which can be super annoying at times, so I wanted to find something that could make it look and feel a bit thicker. An advert for SugarBearHair appeared on my Facebook news feed again and this time I read up about it and bought a month's bottle.

SugarBearHair is an American company but they ship worldwide which means you occur shipping costs and they can take a while to arrive. It took 10 days for my order to reach me here in the UK.

They recommend you take 2 of the gummy bears a day. I take mine at the same time just because I find it easier, but some people prefer to take one in the morning and one in the evening. They sell a 1 month, 3 month and 6 month pack with each bottle containing 60 gummies. The 3 month and 6 month packs also come with a free gift.

They contain:
Vitamin A
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Vitamin B-5
Vitamin B-6
Vitamin B-12
Folic Acid
Biotin (which is apparently what makes your hair stronger)

The vitamins look exactly like described and are honestly some of the cutest vitamins I've ever come across. They are turquoise bears and have a sweet berry taste which makes taking vitamins fun. They are also suitable for vegetarians and are gluten, soy and cruelty free.

Believe it or not these vitamins have worked wonders on my hair, unfortunately I didn't take a photo of my hair before I started taking them so I can't compare it. However just by feeling my hair it feels fuller and slightly more thicker. People have also complimented me on how shiny it is too which is a bonus. My hair has always grown pretty quickly (every time I get a hair cut my hairdresser always mentions it) so in regards to them making my hair grow I didn't really notice a difference.

I've nearly finished my first bottle and have ordered another one. I am seriously impressed with what these vitamins have done so far, and am curious to see if they will keep working for me.

Why I Took A Break From Blogging

October 08, 2017 0 Comments

GUESS WHO'S BACK, BACK AGAIN!!

Hi guys, it's been ages since I last posted on here (6 months to be precise) and I'm really sorry about that. However I'm back and with a new theme (I'm still in the process of editing it so just ignore all the non blogging drop downs) I'd just thought I'd give everyone a little update as to what I've been doing and why there haven't been any blog posts.

Why I took a break

The main reason I took a break from my blog was because I had 0 time to write any posts or take pictures. I currently work 5 days a week so when it gets to the weekend I just want to chill out or spend time with my friends. I also felt like some weeks I was forcing myself to put a blog post up  and stressing that the pictures I took weren't good enough. Having some time away enabled me to really think about things, and decide where I want my blog to go in the future.

What have I been doing

Throughout these 6 months I have made so many amazing memories with my friends particularly over the Summer. I went to London for a week and did so many incredible things, as well as attending Capital's Summertime Ball in June, V Festival in August and celebrating my 20th in July (officially no longer a teenager boo)  I've also been working hard on my health by trying to eat more healthily and exercise more. I'd like to say I haven't been spending as much time on social media but that's a huge lie. However whilst doing all of these amazing things, I couldn't help thinking that I should be writing about them on my blog but then I realised, that I don't have to document absolutely everything that I do. I should live in the moment and cherish the memories.

Why I decided now is the right time to return to blogging

After a lot of thinking I feel like now is the perfect time to return to blogging. Autumn is one of my favourite times of year and I get so much inspiration from it. There's lots of events happening in the next few months such as Halloween, Bonfire night and not to mention Christmas which should give me lots of exciting things to blog about. I have also decided to try and do some shorter blog posts as well as long ones, as I feel this was the main reason for me falling out of love with my blog. I have also decided to post once a week rather than twice like I planned to do, as my schedule just doesn't allow it. I think I'm going to stick to posting Sundays at 4pm but this may change.

I hope to have my next post up next weekend but in the meantime check out my other social media accounts and if you have your own blog share it in the comments below.

Lush Easter Haul

April 23, 2017 0 Comments

It's no secret that I love all things Lush, so whenever they release a seasonal range I have to buy it all or at least most of it to try out.

Here's what I picked up from their Easter range (along with a few kitchen exclusive items as well)

Golden Egg
The first thing I picked up was the absolute classic bath bomb/melt Golden Egg. It's covered in so much glitter you'll need to be near a sink to wash your hands even after just picking it up, but who doesn't love glitter? It shares it scent with Honey I Washed The Kids (which I adore) and includes cocoa butter to help keep your skin soft. Like I mentioned it does have a lot of glitter on it, so if you don't like your bath getting messy you might want to give this one a miss.

Lava Lamp Egg
This year Lush have released 3 of their bath bombs in double size for Easter. The first one is Lava Lamp. It contains cocoa butter and orange oil and is one of my favourites to use when I'm in need of a pamper, because it leaves my skin feeling soft for days. However the smaller version of lava lamp does leave behind some oils on the side of the bath which can be a pain to clean, so I'm intrigued to see if this will do the same.

Integgalactic
The second bath bomb Lush have sized up is one of my all time favourites Intergalactic. They've called it Integgaltic for Easter which fits so perfectly but that's the only thing that's changed. It contains peppermint and grapefruit oil just like the original and leaves your bath a sparkly blue colour. This bath bomb will give you a soak that is truly out of this world.

The Experimenter Egg
The third bath bomb Lush sized up for Easter was The Experimenter which is another one of my favourites. Just like the original it contains 4 different colours, on one side there is pink and blue and on the other side there is white and orange. These colours then put on an epic show in your bath (it's like an actual rainbow) however they do all go a grey colour when you get in, which makes me so sad. One thing I particularly love about this bath bomb is the fact the scent stays throughout your whole bathing experience and it leaves your skin feeling super moisturised.

Which Came First? (Spots And Stripes)
Lush have changed the design on their Which Came First? bath bombs this year, and I think they're perfect for Spring. The stripes design looks just like a sunshine and both designs are bright and vibrant. They share the same scent of grapefruit and lemon which makes for an uplifting citrus bath. I am yet to use these, however I have heard they are fast fizzers and they have a surprise in the middle which I am excited about.

Chick N Mix
Lush have done it again. They have released this new bath bomb for Easter 2017 which is just the cutest thing ever. This little guy is called Chick N Mix and is basically a chick in an egg (which just screams spring) I love that it's already divided because it means you can use it for multiple baths instead of just one if you wish (I'm undecided how I'm going to use mine yet) Chick N Mix has quite a woody/smoky scent and is not like anything I've smelt in a bath product before. It features bergamot and tonka which creates the perfect balance of zingy and calm. Out of all the products I purchased this is definitely my favourite.

Metamorphosis
The first bath bomb I got from the Lush Kitchen was Metamorphosis. The thing that drew me to this particular bath bomb was the colour and pattern on it. Lush describe this as a "symphony of darkness and light" because when placed in the bath a melody of bright colours are released. It features cinnamon and black pepper which is quite an unusual combination but nonetheless I am excited to use this and see the effect it creates in my bath. I have read some other reviews of this product and some people say the overall effect is quite underwhelming, and that it stains your bath but I'll just have to wait and see.

Sacred Lotus
The final product I purchased was also from the Lush Kitchen and is called Sacred Lotus. First of all it's 10/10 on the cuteness scale, and because I ordered it online it got sent in a plastic sphere so actually arrived in one piece. It has gorgeous floral scents and reminds me of something I've smelt before but can't quite put my finger on. Lush describe it as turning your bath a peach colour and that you'll be transported to a floral paradise. I think I'm going to save this bath bomb for a special occasion because I know once I use it I'll want to purchase it again, but it's currently sold out and with Lush you can never tell if they'll bring a product back.

New Beauty Buys

April 09, 2017 0 Comments

Before I start this post I just want to say I'm sorry I've been quiet these past few weeks, I've just been mega busy but it's finally Spring yay!!

To mark the start of Spring I thought I would show you some new beauty bits I purchased over the last few months, which are perfect for those lighter days.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Complete Coverage Concealer
This is my go to concealer and is always in my make up bag, so whenever I'm running low I have to purchase another one. The only thing I'm disappointed in this time, is the fact Urban Decay have put the price up and it now costs £19 instead of £17.50. However this price can be justified because it lasts all day, and blends really nicely to hide blemishes and dark under eye circles.

Benefit The Porefessional Face Primer
Another make up staple of mine that I stocked up on was this Benefit primer. Since discovering this product I've not used another primer. This is perfect for Spring/Summer because not only does it make your foundation go on effortlessly, you can also wear it on it's own if you don't feel like putting a full face of make up on.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Another product I picked up from Benefit was their Hoola bronzer. I've seen so many people raving about this bronzer so thought I'd try it out myself. I've never actually worn a bronzer before as I thought it would make me look too orange, however I can 100% recommend this bronzer. It blends so nicely to give you a natural glow and I can see this being another staple in my make up bag.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette
The final make up product I bought was the Too Faced Sweet Peach eye shadow palette. I have wanted this for ages so as soon as pay day rolled around I decided to "treat myself." The colours in this palette literally scream "spring/summer" plus the palette smells of peaches (bonus) I can't wait to create different looks using this palette, although I can already tell I'll be using the shades Just Peachy and Candied Peach a lot.

L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask
I've been loving face masks recently so thought I'd invest in some new ones. The first mask I bought was the L'Oreal clay mask which is new out. (they have 3 different masks to choose from) I picked this up from Boots where it's currently on offer for £5.99. I love this product, it clears my skin up without drying it out and leaves it feeling super soft. I love to use this alongside my simple moisturiser just to give my skin a little extra pamper.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask
The second face mask I picked up was this new Tissue mask from Garnier as it was on offer in Superdrug for £0.99 (unfortunately it's now back at it's original price of £2.99.) I did have my reserves about this product as I could feel the amount of serum on it as soon as I took it out of the packet, however once I put it on my face for 15 minutes it stayed. I did have to wipe a lot of the excess serum off when I took off the mask though. I love this mask and will definitely be repurchasing it because it left my skin feeling so smooth and left it clear for over a week (which is rare for my skin.)

Imperial Leather Marsh Mallow Shower Cream
The final product I've picked up was the new Imperial Leather marsh mallow shower cream. This is another product I've seen people talking about so decided to buy it and try it out. I love sweet smells so this is the perfect scent for me, my skin was left so soft after using this product so it's a win win. They also sell Cherry Bakewell, Foamy Banana and Starwberry & Vanilla scents too which I will definitely be purchasing in the near future.

5 Shows To Watch On Netflix

March 12, 2017 0 Comments
Last year I wrote a blog post called 10 Films To Watch On Netflix and people seemed to really like it, so I thought I would do a similar post about shows on Netflix.  I love Netflix shows especially ones that are Netflix originals and aren't shown anywhere else.

Here are 5 of my favourites (in no particular order)

Pretty Little Liars

I'm starting this list off with a show I'm sure everyone is familiar with, Pretty Little Liars. This show has been around since 2010 but I was so late to the party and only started watching it in 2015. I binged watched all 6 series over the course of a month and was hooked. I love the twists in this and every-time I thought I worked out who A was, something else happened which eliminated my theory. The show is ending this year (insert crying face emoji) but in a way I'm not too sad because it was starting to get a little repetitive.

Orange Is The New Black

Another show I'm sure everyone is familiar with is the Netflix original Orange Is The New Black. OITNB is set in a women's prison and is about the life of Piper who is sentenced for a drug charge. There are currently 4 seasons with season 5 being released in June this year (I cannot wait) The only downside is they release all the episodes at once, so once you've binge watched them all you'll have to wait a year for the next season. The theme song is also hella catchy and you'll find yourself singing it for days.

Making A Murderer

Making A Murderer is one of the best documentaries I have seen in a long time. I watched it when it first got released and it made me so angry. It tells the true story of Steven Avery who spent 18 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. He is then freed but is jailed again, this time for the murder of Teresa Halbach. I feel like he is innocent and the police have it in for him, because the evidence just doesn't add up (watch it and make your own mind up though.)  Recently his nephew Brendan Dassey was released from prison and Netflix have said that season 2 will be out later this year, which I cannot wait for.

Riverdale

Riverdale is one of Netflix's newest shows. The first episode came out in January, however I only started watching it 2 days ago, but I'm already hooked. I just love all the characters although my fave is probably Jughead (Cole Sprouse need I say more?)  It is based on the Archie comics and is set in the town of Riverdale, where there are secrets bubbling underneath the surface. The main plot is who killed Jason Blossom and so far everyone I've guessed has been wrong. If you're a Pretty Little Liars fan, I think you will love Riverdale as they're quite similar.

A Series Of Unfortunate Events

The show completing my list is A Series Of Unfortunate Events. This is another new show that Netflix has released this year, and is based on the Lemony Snicket books. The first season adapts the first 4 books with 2 more seasons planned to adapt the rest of the books. It stars Neil Patrick Harris (who is amazing) as Count Olaf who is after the Baudelaire children's fortune. He pretends to be a distant relative to care for them, after their parents "perish in a fire." This brings back fond memories of me reading the books when I was younger, and I would highly recommend everyone to watch it.

February Favourites 2017

March 05, 2017 0 Comments

With February being the shortest month I shouldn't be surprised that it's over so quickly, yet I still am. However I am super excited because that means Spring is almost here!!

Here's what I've been loving throughout February...

Mini Eggs

I know Easter is still over a month away but Mini Eggs are acceptable to eat anytime of the year.  I try and stock up on these because they're only around for a limited time (boo Cadbury) and even though some sweet shops sell them all year round, it's hard to find them. These are perfect as a snack when watching films/tv shows or even as your dinner if you're a die hard chocolate fan.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams

These have been my go to liquid lipsticks this month. I just love the way they dry to a matte finish, and if they do fade throughout the day reapplying is quick and easy. I wrote a full review on these products which you can read here

Clinique Lash Power Flutter To Full Mascara

I got given this Clinque mascara in a little gift set along with 2 eye liners for Christmas, and have found myself using it all throughout February. I really like this product because it lets you choose between 2 different lash looks, by twisting the barel in the middle. You can choose between subtle lashes or full lashes. It lasts all day and doesn't smudge (I wear this to work all the time and am seriously impressed) It's easy to remove as well with make up remover or just warm water.

Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

Speaking of removing make up, this has been my go to eye make up remover this month. I've seen so many positive reviews about this product and it did not disappoint.  This removes my eye make up so effortlessly, including waterproof mascara. With some other products I found I was having to constantly scrub to get it off, which often left my skin red and irritated. However with this product you put a bit on a cotton wool pad, wipe and you're done. This product is also suitable for sensitive skin.

Simple Facial Toner

I love simple products and they work so well on my skin, so when it was time to get a new toner it was a no brainer really. I use this alongside their cleansing lotion and moisturiser and it makes my skin feel really refreshed. I particularly love that this toner doesn't leave my skin feeling dry as other toners I've used in the past have done, plus it's so affordable. This is another product that works great on sensitive skin.

The Moorside

A TV Show I was obsessed with during February was The Moorside. It was a 2 part BBC documentary based on the true story of the disappearance of Shannon Matthews. It starred Sherdian Smith (who is just amazing in every role she plays) as Julie Bushby who organises the search for Shannon. However after finding Shannon, Julie and the rest of the estate discover the real truth. I think the BBC did a fantastic job on this and if you haven't seen it I highly recommend you do. It's on BBC iPlayer for a few more weeks but I'm sure it's on YouTube somewhere too.

5 Of My Favourite Blogs

February 26, 2017 1 Comments

I love finding new blogs to read, so today I thought I would share with you 5 of my favourite bloggers. You might have heard of some of these already, but if you haven't you should definitely check them out.

Just Snyx

Just Snyx is run by Valentine and is one of my favourite blogs to read. I've followed her on Instagram for a while now, but first started reading her blog in the Summer of 2016. Her photography skills are amazing and I am obsessed with her flat lays. She blogs about a range of things such as beauty, fashion and interior/DIYs which means there's something that everyone will enjoy reading. I was going to mention my favourite post of hers but I can't choose because they're all incredible.

Pretty Rain Clouds

Pretty Rain Clouds is run by Leonie, and I have been a fan of her blog since November last year. She commented on one of my posts and that is how I came across her blog (I recommend looking at the comments on people's posts as you'll find some gems) I love reading her reviews on different products and her travel experiences. I also love that her blog has a bit of everything and isn't just focused on one set theme.

It's The Blue Bow

It's The Blue Bow is run by Sammy, and I stumbled across her blog whilst looking through my Twitter timeline one day, but I'm so glad I did.  I love reading all her posts particularly ones that are unique and that I've not seen before, and I love the way she edits her photos. Her blog is also really easy to navigate which is perfect especially if you're a new reader, and she also posts quite regularly so you're never short of posts to read.

Jord Does Makeup

Jord Does Makeup is run by Jordan and I only started reading her blog last month but I love it. She currently only has 2 posts but they're both amazing. I particularly liked her driving experience post as I can relate to it. I also love her photos on her sweet peach palette review as they're so clear and it's nice to see some of the looks that can be created (it persuaded me to purchase it so thanks Jordan) I can't wait to read more of her posts.

Zoella

I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of Zoe Sugg who runs Zoella (if you're not then where have you been?) but I couldn't not include her in my favourite blogs. I started reading Zoe's blog in 2012 and was amazed at how relatable her blog was (and still is to this day) I particularly loved how she just blogged about whatever she wanted whether that be lush products, her outfit or trips out with friends. Of course now she is one of the biggest Youtubers around, but I love how her content has stayed the same throughout the years and she still uploads fairly regularly on her blog.

Who are your favourite bloggers/blogs?

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

February 19, 2017 0 Comments

When it comes to cleaning makeup brushes there are 2 types of people. Some love it and really enjoy it, whereas others hate it and try to put it off as long as possible. Whichever category you fall in you know it has to be done, unless you want gross bacteria on your face.

I used to hate cleaning my make up brushes, I always thought of it as a "chore" but since investing in the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing palette last year, I've started enjoying cleaning my make up brushes. Not only does it leave my brushes feeling super soft but it also speeds up the process.

Here's how I do it...

1) Put your hand into the palette and wet it with warm water
2) Add a tiny amount of the Real Techniques brush cleansing gel on to the palette (do this for each brush you are cleaning)
3) Swirl your brush in a circular motion across the palette until it is clean (it still amazes me how dirty my brushes get)
4) Rinse you brush and squeeze out any excess water
5) Lie flat or upside down and allow brushes to dry (I tend to lay mine on a towel and leave them to dry overnight)
6) Enjoy your clean makeup brushes

The brushes I cleaned in this post were

Brush I use to fill in my eyebrows (I'm not too sure of the brand because I got given it by my mum as part of a set she never used)

How do you clean your makeup brushes?
